Job description

Half Moon is looking for a visual artist or collective who is interested in presenting at our Foyer Gallery during2026/27. Our exhibitions are presented in the following periods:

  • September-January
  • January-April
  • April-July
  • Our July-September slot is allocated for a youth take-over from our local schools.

Half Moon is a professional theatre venue specialising in work for, and with, families and young people. As a result, the work exhibited must be family-friendly and framed or wall-mountable (no ceramics, installations, light boxes etc). We are based in Limehouse, London, E1, and particularly welcome expressions of interest from artists who live or work locally to our venue.

The work must be affordable, offering a price range between £25-150 and a typical exhibition would require up to 25/30 pieces. We are also able to sell other merchandise such as books or greeting cards that support the exhibition.

While commission is taken for sales, there is not a fee to exhibit. Half Moon will cover the costs of a technician to mount the exhibition and any other related costs.
