Location

Cambridge, Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

About the R&D Team

Our global team of 2000+ developers works on more than 75 industrial automation and engineering products. AI and cloud are central to our strategy, and we hold over 150 patents. Join us to build applications that solve big problems and have meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement and test innovative AI capabilities into our AVEVA solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, domain experts and engineers from other product teams to integrate AI into their products.
  • Work on product mixes including on‑prem, SaaS, desktop and web/mobile apps.
  • Deliver a performant and secure product or service by evaluating updates and assessing their impact on the base architecture.
Desired Skills & Knowledge
  • Prior internship or experience in software development including version control.
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning concepts (training, cleaning, bias, class imbalance, etc).
  • Basic hands‑on experience in object‑oriented programming (C#, C++, Java, Python).
  • Knowledge of statistics and linear algebra.
  • Computer vision concepts.
  • Python/Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Familiarity with common ML libraries (Scikit‑Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, etc).
Great Skills to Have
  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering reliable, performant and scalable software.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and enjoyment in troubleshooting complex challenges.

Hybrid Working
