GSL Education are currently recruiting for a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join a supportive school in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture artistic expression and critical thinking in students across Key Stages.

Role Overview:

As an Art Teacher, you will engage students in a range of artistic techniques and disciplines, encouraging exploration and innovation. You will help build their confidence and appreciation of visual arts while supporting academic achievement.

Responsibilities as an Art Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons that cater to diverse abilities.
  • Promote creative thinking and visual literacy.
  • Guide students through coursework and prepare them for GCSE or A‑Level Art.
  • Maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment.
  • Assess and report on students’ progress in line with school policies.
Requirements for Art Teacher:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Specialism in Art or related creative subject.
  • Previous experience teaching Art in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A detailed CV covering the last 10 years, with gaps clearly explained.
