Job description

Affinity Partnerships are working with a school in Bristol who are looking for a full time qualified Art Teacher, who is also open to doing up to 5 KS3 Design and Technology lessons.

The role will involve teaching art lessons, including GCSE classes throughout the school day. You will also be required to be a form tutor and look after this tutor at the beginning and end of the day.

This position is to help provide maternity cover from March 2026 until January 2027. The position is Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, paid on the MPS1-UPS3 scale.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teachers Status
  • Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education
  • Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills
  • Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
  • Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
  • Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1.
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
