Overview

London South East College is looking for a highly motivated individual to maintain the work in the Art and Design department across campuses to support learner achievement. The role of the Art and Design Technician is a key role in the department with the maintenance of the teaching areas and is vital to learner success. The successful candidate will work flexibly across the campuses to prepare and maintain equipment and resources for classes and teachers, oversee the safe storage of all resources, and contribute to the achievement of learners. The role includes improving the quality of customer service within the department, providing advice on technical issues, and delivering practical demonstrations to small groups of students. The candidate will work flexibly in the absence of staff with sickness and provide cover teaching as needed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The role also requires regularly updating Risk and COSHH assessments to ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment.
