Role Overview

The Area Technology Leader role sits within our Digital organisation and focuses on managing and evolving Technology Products and Services that support our internal customers and business needs. The role ensures the delivery, performance, and user experience of technology services within the assigned market, while supporting ongoing transformation and digital‑first strategies. Working closely with product and service owners, enterprise delivery teams, local business leaders, vendors, and facilities, this role helps to enable an efficient, customer‑focused digital environment as part of Sanofi's wider technology roadmap.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate local deployment or implementation of Global Tech Projects, Products, Services or Initiatives, ensuring alignment with local business priorities and projects and in collaboration with Tech Product/Service Owners.
  • Partner with Tech Enterprise Delivery and Global Digital Technology teams on orchestration, planning, reporting, and alignment of Global Tech initiatives, to ensure effective delivery of Technology Products and Services across the assigned geographical scope.
  • Oversee on‑site support operations, ensuring Global Tech Vendor services meet contractual standards and deliver a high‑quality user experience at supported locations.
  • Oversee mobile carrier services delivered by local Tech Vendors and partner with the Purchasing department to ensure timely contract renewals.
  • Ensure compliance of local Tech Vendor services with Global Tech Policies, Processes and Standards, while managing local operations and executing local purchasing for Digital Tech equipment and services.
  • Drive optimal performance and maximise customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality Technology Products/Services within the assigned scope, while continuously monitoring, enhancing and obsessively focusing on the user experience and customer needs.
  • Lead the progress of digital‑first strategies by modernising service delivery approaches, emphasizing automation and self‑help capabilities, and taking ownership of local initiatives to build user proficiency with AI technologies and available self‑service resources.
  • Define and supervise continuous improvement cycles to maintain and increase service‑consumer satisfaction in alignment with Tech Product/Service Owners.
  • Monitor achievement of defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Tech Vendors and customers, defining improvement plans when needed.
  • Act as the point of contact and escalation contact for Tech incidents, requests and needs from local MCO stakeholders.
  • Account for all Tech aspects in local real‑estate projects, ensuring alignment with Tech Product/Service Owners.
  • Execute consistent Tech Product/Service‑related local communications and marketing to all stakeholders in MCO.
  • Execute local end‑user awareness/training sessions on Digital Tech topics.
  • Implement local Tech Product/Service transition plans, including user change management and employee engagement.
  • Manage the local Tech budget for cost centers in MCO.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology/Science.
  • Proven experience owning and delivering Technology Services in a large organisation.
  • Strong technical understanding across multiple technologies and domains.
  • Experience in regulated environments and working within a matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of Windows/M365 and ITSM practices including incident, request, problem, and asset management.
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
