Position: Area Sales Representative

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Commission

Shifts: Monday – Friday, days

OTE: £60,000+

My client is a leading provider of Powered Access machinery. Due to their continued success, they are now looking for a skilled Area Sales Representative to join their ever-growing team. A strong background in the Powered Access sector is essential for this role.

About Your New Area Sales Representative Role
  • Promote all our services and benefits to the customer, maximising sales through face‑to‑face visits and cold calling
  • Manage an existing customer portfolio and target new business in accordance with depot targets
  • Work with the Depot Manager to retain and manage all customers and sites within an agreed sales area
  • Achieve revenue growth against depot budget and reactivate dormant accounts
  • Complete weekly planners, call reports, and update account management, site sheets, and quote records
  • Carry out site surveys as required, assisting the customer in selecting the appropriate machine for the task
  • Build effective customer relationships, exceed customer service expectations, and resolve customer issues promptly and satisfactorily
  • Achieve goals and objectives and exceed targets
What You’ll Need to Succeed for This Role
  • Demonstrated successful sales track record in the rental sector
  • Customer‑focused with excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively face‑to‑face and over the phone
  • Proactive, confident, and a personable negotiator
  • Full Category B driving licence essential
  • Experience in the Powered Access industry is essential
