Job summary

A leading adhesives distributor is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the North of the UK. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve targets, maintaining relationships with key clients, and conducting presentations to promote self-adhesive solutions. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the adhesives sector, and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. A valid driver's license is necessary for travel within the territory.

Overview

Position: Area Sales Manager

Location: Covering North of UK (North Birmingham up to Scotland)

Salary: Starting at £42,500 + depending on experience (Car Allowance, Pension, Profit Share Scheme + 25 days holiday)

The Company: Adhesives Distributor

The Role
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets within the North territory.
  • Identify and prioritize potential industrial sector clients within the assigned territory.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at target accounts.
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations, demonstrations, and meetings to showcase their range of self-adhesive solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including customer service, technical support, and product development, to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to monitor performance and guide decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand network and enhance brand visibility within the North territory.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the Tape, Adhesive & Abrasives.
  • 3M products experience desirable.
  • Deep understanding of the industrial sector, including regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
