Area Sales Manager – Central England

Starting salary up to £52k per annum, plus bonus, company car or allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, private healthcare, employee benefits package

Responsibilities
  • My client is a growing construction products supplier, selling to builders merchants and building contractors throughout the UK.
  • They are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager for a central England territory, who will be capable of successfully managing and growing their existing customer base, as well as identifying opportunities to develop new business.
  • Effective relationship management is a key feature of this opportunity, with customer service excellence at the forefront of everything you deliver.
  • Working with customers to understand their needs and identifying the correct solutions, you will become a trusted partner, building strong, sustainable relationships which will stand the test of time.
  • Your focus will be to proactively retain, manage and grow your existing customer base of builders merchants and contractors within your territory and identify and secure new opportunities for business development, as well as targeting and regaining lapsed accounts.
  • You will collaborate with colleagues in internal and external sales teams, customer service, technical support and logistics to optimise the success of your customer s journeys.
  • With relevant, recent experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar, you will be used to dealing with technical sales of products into the construction sector, working with customers at all levels and all stages of the buying process.
  • A background of selling construction products to builders merchants and contractors will be necessary for you to be considered for this opportunity.

  • You will be self-motivated, proactive and committed as well as being a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
