A leading training organization is seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach to support engineering and manufacturing apprentices. This home-based role involves managing a caseload and ensuring apprentices receive the guidance they need to succeed. You will monitor their progress and build relationships with apprentices and their employers. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with a solid background in engineering, are essential. The position requires compliance with safeguarding protocols and national travel.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach to join MTC Training. This will be a home‑based role with national travel.
MTC’s vision is to develop a training capability that embeds adaptable knowledge, skills and behaviours that future‑proof UK manufacturing. Aligning technical content identified in MTC’s core business to our apprenticeship and commercial (engineer upskilling) is at the core of our strategy.
As an Apprenticeship Skills Coach your role is to ensure apprentices receive support, guidance and encouragement to succeed in their apprenticeship programme.
We’re looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach with a strong background and experience of engineering (mechanical or electrical or electronic, multi‑skilled is preferable). You’ll be a customer and quality focused coach, who can operate across all MTC Training and client locations. This position will suit somebody who’s approachable, and able to handle issues with sensitivity and confidentiality.
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and working both independently with your own initiative and in a team.
We’re looking for somebody who is articulate, has strong communication skills, organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
Somebody who can promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, is key.
