The Student - Respiratory Therapy role is intended for students enrolled as freshmen in an approved Associate's Degree program for Respiratory Therapy. Candidates must maintain passing grades and meet attendance requirements. The Apprentice works under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist and performs duties that include assembling, transporting, disinfecting, calibrating, and troubleshooting respiratory-related equipment, as well as performing electrocardiograms. The Apprentice is responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of equipment in various respiratory work areas and assisting Respiratory Therapists with procedures and tasks as directed.
