A leading furniture manufacturer is looking for an Apprentice Furniture Frame Maker in Newton Aycliffe. This apprenticeship offers comprehensive training in furniture making techniques, including assembly and operation of wood machines. Responsibilities include preparing furniture frames and working with various materials. Candidates should have effective communication skills and be detail-oriented. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and offers a salary of £10.20 - £12.41 per hour.
Apprentice Furniture Frame Maker required for a leading furniture manufacturer. A great opportunity to join a growing company manufacturing sofas, chairs and beds. Learn how to produce and assemble furniture frames, set up and operate wood machines and make furniture items.
During your Standard Level 2 Furniture Making Operative apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on the job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also at WEBS Training in Nottingham on a block basis, for a week at a time every 10 weeks, cost covered by the employer.
You will learn the underpinning knowledge that runs alongside your practical elements of the training. WEBS Training aim to build on the skills you already have so you reach your full potential both personally and professionally.
Training will be provided in all areas of Furniture to ensure you can create practical furniture using both traditional and modern techniques and materials to produce aesthetically pleasing and fit for purpose products.
If you have already achieved GCSE maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or have equivalent qualification you will be exempt from undertaking Functional Skills, however English and maths support will be provided for all apprentices throughout the length of their programme.
This role offers opportunities to advance to a Level 3, along with increased responsibilities.
