Job description

Are you looking to start your career in the manufacturing sector? Do you want to earn a salary whilst gaining experience and a qualification? We have an exciting opportunity for a Door Assembly Operative Apprentice. You will take part in woodworking and joinery with practical experience in manufacturing of bespoke doors and fire doors.

  • Annual wage: £16,640 a year
  • The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.
  • Training course: Lean manufacturing operative
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday, 07:30 – 16:30; Friday, 07:30 – 15:30. 40 hours a week
  • Start date: Monday 16 February 2026
  • Duration: 18 months
  • Positions available: 1
Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

You will be fully trained in all of the following areas:

  • All aspects of flush fire door construction and the use of processing machinery
  • Cross cutting
  • Panel saw operation
  • Veneer presses
  • Sanding machines
  • Lipping machines
  • Glazing of doors
