Job description

A dental nurse works side by side to the Dentist assisting them in a variety of NHS and Private dental procedures, ultimately making sure the patient care and experience is at its best. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse you will work in a supportive environment; we are passionate about building great teams who trust each other, work professionally, and take ownership for the success for the practice. This includes:

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Dentist by providing chairside support ensuring that the correct equipment and materials are available
  • Provide support and assistance to a wide array of patients
  • Follow practice health and safety and infection control procedures
  • Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and disinfected
  • Accurately complete patient clinical records
  • Complete all clinical daily, weekly and monthly logs and checks

Successful candidates must have certificates to prove GCSE grade C/4+ in Maths and English or evidence of a passed Functional Skills course. Learners who do not have certificates can study for their Functional Skills course alongside their Apprenticeship.
