Are you looking to kickstart your career in commissioning or Adult Social Care, while making a difference in your community? Walsall Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team (Adult Social Care) as an Apprentice Commissioning Support Officer.

What you'll be doing
  • Administrative support for commissioning projects and service reviews.
  • Data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Organising meetings, forums, and governance groups.
  • Communicating with internal teams and external providers.
  • Supporting quality assurance and contract management activities.
We're looking for someone who is
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Organised and able to manage their time effectively.
  • A good communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Aged 16+, has the right to work in the UK, and is not enrolled in full‑time education.
You’ll need to have
  • GCSEs (A–C or 4–9) in English and Maths, or a willingness to work towards achieving Level 2 qualifications as part of the apprenticeship.
What you’ll gain
