Job description

Golding Homes are looking for an Applications Manager a critical and technology advanced role who will be responsible for managing and maintaining their applications and digital portals. The Applications Manager will lead the development and implementation of new solutions collaborating closely with the Solution Architect and Service Design teams to innovate and improve operational processes to enhance their customers experience.

This role will also act as a 3rd line escalation point for application-related issues building close working relationships with key suppliers to ensure their operational efficiency.

This role is a hybrid based role but please be aware the first 6 months of employment will be based at Golding Homes offices in Maidstone.

What the role will include:
  • Lead a high performing team providing strategic management quality assurance expert guidance and accountability to ensure successful operational delivery.
  • Ensure the stability, security and efficiency of all applications including the customer portal through proactive management and support.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and management of Golding Homes applications and customer portal.
  • Lead and manage a team of Application Development and Support professionals fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development whilst monitoring the team to ensure a consistent service is provided to the organisation.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Drive the development and delivery of solutions exploring our options around the extended use of our Microsoft estate with a particular focus on the use of PowerApps.
  • Lead and participate in application‑related projects ensuring timely and within‑budget delivery.

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience of working in a Housing environment and Housing Management systems and processes, with experience in application management and development and a strong focus on the Microsoft Power Platform.

Desired skills and experience include:

  • Experience with application development framework tools.
  • Leadership of a technical team, project and stakeholder management.
  • Experience providing 3rd line support.
When and where you'll be doing it:

You will enjoy a 37‑hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £64260 per annum, dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
