Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Antenatal Clinic Midwife to join our team. As Antenatal Clinic Lead Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care for women and families during pregnancy. You will lead and support the antenatal team, driving improvements in patient experience, safety, and quality. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams. The post holder will work as a member of the team, providing and leading midwifery care to the women in the antenatal period.
The postholder will maintain own clinical skills and competencies and have excellent communication skills. The postholder will work within the NMC rules and standards and Trust guidelines and procedures.
The postholder will work within the multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for the planning, development, smooth running and maintenance of the antenatal clinic for pregnant women attending the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The postholder will provide accurate, unbiased, non‑judgemental evidence‑based information to both the multidisciplinary team and service users.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Managerial Responsibilities
1. Required to manage antenatal team members on a day‑to‑day basis and undertake appraisals of all staff members within the team.
2. Required to promote and provide opportunities and resources for staff development and training.
3. Required to create, implement and support change management within the department.
4. Required to disseminate information to create understanding and ensure all are working to the same goal.
5. Participate in Clinical Governance Programme and demonstrate awareness of Clinical Governance agenda.
