Antenatal Clinic and Assessment Midwife

We are pleased to offer a great opportunity to come and work as part of the Assessment and Antenatal Clinic Team.

The Midwife will plan, deliver, and evaluate the care of women/pregnant people and their families and ensure appropriate management plans throughout the pregnancy pathway. You will have a crucial role in providing evidence-based information and advice, and in promoting public health initiatives that reflect the needs of the local population.

Main duties of the job

The primary aim of the role is to ensure that pregnant people and their families receive high quality, personalised, and safe care based around their individual choices and needs.

As an Antenatal Clinic and Assessments Midwife, you will provide midwifery care as per Nursing and Midwifery Council regulations and Trust policies, practice competently and autonomously, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.

You will use every opportunity to act as a role model, ensuring the Trust values are upheld. The role will also include opportunities to support the development of services to reflect the national maternity transformation programme and the Saving Babies Lives Care bundle.

In this role you will co‑coordinate the area as designated, in support of, or in the absence of the Ward Manager/Team Leader, to promote effective multidisciplinary working and high clinical standards.
