What we are looking for:

The Analytical QC Chemist is responsible for performing laboratory analyses supporting site operations, performing testing in support of test method validation, and assuring integrity of test results.

What you will do:

  • Tests samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in support of verification and validation activities, product stability, and quality control.
  • Hands-on operation and analysis of data collected from a range of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, DSC, TGA, SEM, FTIR, and UV/Vis.
  • Reviews laboratory data generated by other analysts for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assists with the completion of laboratory investigations related to non-conformances and OOS/OOT test results.
  • Clearly communicates technical information and project status to supervisor and colleagues through written and oral manner.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents procedures and results using laboratory notebooks, protocols & reports, records and databases.
  • Effectively collaborates with colleagues on laboratory techniques, sample preparation, instrumentation, data analysis and documentation.
  • Organic and polymer synthesis of biomaterials.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of related industry experience in performing analytical chemistry.
  • Strong technical and hands-on experience with HPLC, SEC, GC, KF, FTIR, DSC, Viscosity, TGA, SEM, titrations and other wet chemistry techniques and physical property testing.
  • Ability to independently solve practical problems and deal with a variety of uncertainties in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Prior work experience in a regulated environment (ISO 9001, 13485, 17025, and/or QSR Standards).
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, hands-on with drive for solving problems in a timely manner.
