Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an Analyst - Grade 3 within the Inorganics department at ALS Environmental in Coventry, West Midlands.

As an Analyst Grade 3 you will be completing, to the required timescales and quality standards, the analysis of samples for a range of methods.

Days Per Week: Sunday to Thursday (14:00 - 22:00).

Contract: Full Time and Permanent

Salary: £25,242 per annum

The day to day
  • Understand customer requirements.
  • Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Report analytical data.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, including daily preventative maintenance.
  • Investigate and report on NCW on the QMS and assign priority.
  • Assist team members to achieve work objectives, including training colleagues to the required standards.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
The Essentials
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English
  • A level or equivalent in scientific subject
  • Previous laboratory experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to deliver instructional training.
