ALN Teaching Assistant - NP7 Area

Location: NP7

Start Date: February 2026

Pay: From £89.38 per day

Hours: Full-Time (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Additional Learning Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the NP7 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN in the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson preparation.
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions (literacy, numeracy, social skills).
  • Encourage engagement and participation in learning activities.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and promote inclusion.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience supporting children with ALN (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • Experience from roles such as Support Worker, Care Assistant, or similar is highly valued.
