A local community organization in Derry/Londonderry is seeking an Allotment Co-ordinator to oversee community allotments. The role involves managing site operations, fostering community engagement, and providing horticultural guidance. Ideal candidates will have experience in horticulture and community development, and must be able to handle challenging situations calmly. This part-time position offers 15 hours per week at a competitive salary.
Overview: To assist the CCP Strategic Manager in the co-ordination and administration of Culmore Community Partnership Organic Allotments. This post has been funded by LFT Trust for one year. The Culmore Community Partnership Organic Allotments Project aims to promote health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and empower residents to grow their own healthy, organic produce in an inclusive, supported community space. We will open the Organic Allotment site at Woodlands Avenue, Culmore in Autumn 2025. We require an on-site Allotment Co-ordinator who will provide practical support, training, and encouragement for participants, including those with disabilities, long-term illness, and other vulnerabilities.
