We are now recruiting for the Manchester office which is based in Altrincham for a Freight Forwarding Air Freight Imports Clerk

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Air Freight Quotations.
• Producing all documentation for air freight import shipments.
• Completion of customs declarations.
• Track shipments.
• Follow up on Pre-Alerts
• Authenticating supplier invoices.
• Completing customer invoicing within revenue recognition policy.
• Adding accurate costs to the system to ensure financial reports correct.
• Recording correspondence in eDocs.
• Dealing with queries, both shipment and invoice.
• Promotion of additional services to clients.
• Ensuring all internal SOP's are followed correctly.
• Awareness of Deferment and Government Gateway accounting procedures.
• Ensuring any tasks within Workflow are actioned quickly.

Person Specification:

• Applying candidates will have recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Imports from quote to delivered.
• Good communication skills
• Good organisation skills and effective time management & working practices
• Manage time effectively
• Commercial awareness
• Attention to detail
• IT Literate in Microsoft Office
• Cargowise experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £30,000-£35,000 Circa
