We are looking for an experienced Customer Engineer - Thermal to join our team in Bedford, United Kingdom!

Responsibilities:
  1. Start Up, maintenance, and emergency repairs of Vertiv Air Conditioning products, as well as other contracted systems.
  2. Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area.
  3. Maintain continuous communications with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.
  4. Respond professionally to all assigned service calls.
  5. Perform all work safely, following company safety policies and relevant codes of practice/legislation.
  6. Ensure proper accounting of spare parts using established procedures.
  7. Assist in maintaining a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
  8. Help schedule, plan, and complete work with call control using established workflows.
  9. Keep call control informed of your schedule and status of jobs.
  10. Maintain accurate customer listings and report errors.
  11. Follow ISO 9001:2000 processes.
  12. Submit timely and accurate daily paperwork, including job debriefs at customer premises when applicable.
  13. Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota.
  14. Provide on-site technical assistance with difficult problems.
  15. Collaborate with department supervisors, sales, contracts, and management on operational duties.
  16. Attend customer meetings as required.
Qualifications for Success:
  1. Experience in a technical service or testing environment of Air Conditioning equipment.
  2. Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  3. Previous field service experience.
  4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  5. Self-starter with the ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively under pressure.
  6. Valid and clean driving license.
