Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive market demand for our compliance solutions. You will connect with prospects, uncover opportunities, and set the stage for meaningful relationships, bridging sales and marketing to convert leads into conversations and qualified opportunities.

You will qualify inbound leads, partner with Account Executives, and use AI tools to enhance pipeline development, targeting mid-level and executive contacts while maintaining strong quota

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, relevant vocational qualification, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a business development or sales role.
• BDR experience with a proven history of achieving and exceeding monthly quotas for dials, appointments, and opportunities.
• Strong team player with exceptional communication skills and the ability to present to groups of all sizes.
• Initiative and quick to learn concepts and technologies, comfortable using AI-assisted workflows.
• Proficiency with contact management solutions (e.g. Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Creative problem-solving with a persistent approach to outreach and learning.
• Background check will be required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities directly with prospective customers.
• Qualify inbound leads and provide high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to execute territory plans and manage multiple priorities.
• Execute a formalised business development process with consistency and creativity.
• Suggest improvements to business development strategies, processes, and tools using data insights.
