Job summary

Actian is seeking an AI Enablement Lead to architect, scale, and own our AI enablement strategy end-to-end. You will build foundational platforms, tooling, and frameworks that let product and engineering teams deploy AI safely, rapidly, and at scale.

You will democratize AI across the org, establish modern LLMOps/MLOps practices, and influence the Actian Data Intelligence Platform with agentic workflows, intelligent data pipelines, and cutting-edge capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong background as Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect.
• Deep expertise in Python or Go, vector databases, orchestration frameworks.
• Experience building AI-powered enterprise SaaS applications.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive architecture decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the core AI orchestration layers, API gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide consumption.
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to embed production-ready AI/ML features into the platform.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring tools for model performance, bias, data privacy and security.
• Monitor cloud and API compute spend and optimize latency for production AI features.
• Lead workshops, design blueprints, and create documentation to empower non-AI engineers.
• Drive PoC to production with production-grade code that scales.
• Define and enforce the official AI stack, including vector databases and embedding strategies.
• Evaluate partnerships with AI model providers and open-source models to stay at the frontier.
• Define and track metrics for the AI Enablement function, such as adoption and ROI.
