Job summary

Actian is seeking an AI Enablement Lead to architect, scale, and own the AI enablement strategy across the Data Intelligence Platform. You will build foundational tooling, establish LLMOps governance, and drive production-grade AI capabilities across product and engineering teams.

You will lead cross-functional workshops, design reusable AI frameworks, and optimize cost and latency while ensuring security, privacy, and business value.

Qualifications

• Strong background as Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect who has built and scaled AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or complex data platforms.
• Deep technical expertise in Python or Go, semantic search, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and fine-tuning or prompt engineering of LLMs.
• High-agency mindset; proactively build frameworks that solve bottlenecks before teams request them.
• Treat AI development as software engineering with CI/CD, testing for AI, containerization, and clean code architecture.
• Excellent communication to translate AI concepts into business value for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the core AI orchestration layers, centralized API gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide consumption.
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to embed production-ready generative AI and machine learning features into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring tools to track model performance, bias, data privacy, and security across AI implementations.
• Monitor and optimize cloud/API spend and latency for production AI features.
• Lead workshops, blueprints, and documentation to empower non-AI teams to build AI-driven features.
• Drive PoC to production projects with production-grade code that scales.
• Define the official AI stack including vector embeddings strategies and caching mechanisms.
• Evaluate partnerships with AI model providers and open-source models to stay at the frontier of innovation.
• Define and track metrics for AI Enablement impact, such as adoption, time-to-market, and ROI.
