Job description

WSD is looking to hire an eager and talented person to fill the role of a Technical Business Analyst.

As WSD's Technical Business Analyst in the AI Team, you will work with WSD's dedicated AI development and data teams to push WSD to be the worldwide market leader in AI within the structured finance industry. WSD has recently undergone significant investment - in both personnel and hardware - to enable AI within every aspect of the business. In this role, you will combine the traditional role of a Business Analyst with a technical developer who is able to automate processes within the AI team with hands-on work.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will be:

Strategic & Product Development
• Work with the product owner, developers and other internal stakeholders to design, plan and architect complex software.
• Understanding the business goals for WSD in the AI space and ensure the work completed by the AI team stay aligned to these goals.
• Work with the product owner to define the strategic vision for products to be sold on the market.
• Help to identify opportunities for product improvements and develop the business logic to solve product related problems by collaborating with others.

Process Analysis & AI Integration
• Work with teams across WSD to identify where AI can enhance existing processes, and work to push this integration forward.
• Identify areas for internal operational improvements.
• Prototyping/developing agentic workflows to automate manual tasks.

Technical & Development Support
• Developing data processors modules to help with data cleaning before training.
• Prototyping software to which can be built around WSD's AI solutions.
• Writing scripts to automate data collection.
• Provide hands-on support to any aspect of the AI team where additional support is required.

Agile & Delivery Management
• Work with the product owner, developers and other internal stakeholders to appropriately capture feature requests and product enhancements, to translate them into detailed JIRA tickets.
• Sanity check new features and improvements on Staging & UAT environments and capture test results in relevant JIRA tickets ready to prepare them for deployment.
• Work with the product team to organise the product backlog and prioritise tickets for upcoming sprints.

Key Skills Required
• AI: Strong understanding of LLMs, how they can be used as an aid to automation, and how the machine learning/fine-tuning process works.
• Ticket Analysis and Resolution: Able to investigate and analyse tickets to add more information based on investigation and company-wide goals.
• Generalist: Not afraid to get stuck-in to any area where there is work to be done.
• Version Control: Knowledge of how to use version control systems such as Git and GitHub
• Containers: Understanding of Docker and Docker Compose
• APIs: Deep knowledge of REST APIs
• NodeJS: Strong NodeJS scripting skills, with an interest in additional development work.
• Python: Basic working knowledge of Python.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
• Cost-Benefit Analysis: Ability to build business cases for AI initiatives
• Soft Skills: Proficient problem-solving and communication skills
• Language: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Technical Writing: Good technical writing skills to document processes, solutions effectively.

Desired Qualifications
