Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Kidlington is helping a franchise-approved car dealership recruit a Vehicle Aftersales Advisor for their busy Service Department. The role offers a salary up to £30,000 plus a quarterly CSI bonus and per‑service plan commission.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with no weekend shifts, and have access to training programmes, pension contributions and staff discounts. A strong customer-service background will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aftersales is desirable but not essential.
• Strong customer service background from hospitality or retail is transferable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills required.
• IT proficiency, Kerridge DMS experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures is a bonus.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the Service Department and book their vehicles in for repairs.
• Liaise with the workshop to chase work in progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Advise and influence customers on minor technical issues, delivering a first-class service.
• Upsell additional products and services where appropriate.
• Keep customers informed regarding vehicle repair progress.
• Take payments for completed work and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers.
• Support the dealership’s objectives and targets related to aftersales services.

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Vehicle Aftersales Advisor to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent Aftersales Advisor opportunity for a motivated individual to develop within a respected automotive business.

• Salary up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Duties of an Aftersales Advisor:

Requirements of an Aftersales Advisor:

• Prior or current experience as an Aftersales Advisor is desirable but not essential
• Strong customer service background from hospitality or retail sectors will be considered
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• IT proficiency, ideally with experience using Kerridge Dealer Management System (non-essential)
• Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers regarding warranty work (advantageous but non-essential)
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Genuine passion for automotive brands and delivering high-quality customer service
