After School Music Club Facilitator – Freelance | £27 / hr | DY4 (West Midlands)

Are you passionate about inspiring young musicians? Do you have the energy and creativity to lead engaging, fun music sessions for primary-aged children? Sing Education is looking for a dynamic and experienced freelance music facilitator to lead a weekly after-school music club in the DY4 area.

About the Role

Hours: 2 hours per week (1 session per week, after school)

Pay: £27 per hour (freelance)

Location: DY4 area, West Midlands

Start date: As soon as available

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead a vibrant, rotating programme of musical activities designed to inspire creativity and confidence through music-making. Based on our classroom approach, but adapted for an informal club setting, the activities will include:

  • Singing games and Kodály-inspired musicianship
  • Ukulele, recorder, and percussion playing
  • Group rhythm and drumming activities
  • Improvisation and creative music games

Our club model follows a rotation of musical themes across the year to keep sessions fresh, engaging, and inclusive.

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
  • Music degree (or music-related degree)
  • A confident and inspiring music leader with experience working with primary-aged children
  • Strong musical skills in singing and at least one instrument (ukulele, recorder, percussion ideal)
  • Understanding of Kodály-inspired approaches or willingness to learn
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality music education
  • Full vetting and DBS check to be carried out
