Overview

Role: After School Club Assistant

Contract: Fixed Term until 17th July 2026

Hours: 7.5 per week / 39 Weeks per year

Salary: £24,796 - £25,185 FTE (Actual Salary £4,309 - £4,376)

Closing Date: 29th September 2025 at Midday

We would like to appoint a confident, proactive and creative individual to work alongside our team in our before and after school club. The ideal person would have some experience of working within a school, play work or childcare setting. The post is for 7.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday 3.15pm – 4.45pm (term time only including training days). This post will be a fixed term contract until 17th July 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Engaging with children in aspects of play and conversation.
  • Setting up activities for children to optionally take part in.
  • Meet and greet parents and provide feedback on their child’s time at the club.
  • Food preparation.
Qualifications and Training
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in play work or childcare or willingness to work towards this qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications are desirable.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to undertake further essential training.
