Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering company in Cheltenham seeks a Material Controller for a 12-month contract. The role emphasizes exceptional material flow, accuracy, and quality in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include stock control, ERP transactions, and fulfilling material requests. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and experience in material handling. This position offers a pay rate of £17.42/hour PAYE and promotes a culture of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • IT literate including moderate confidence with PC packages and experience with ERP planning systems or inventory management alternatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Warehouse Operator ensuring material flow, storage, accuracy, quality.
  • Physically move material: picking, packing, labeling.
  • Control stock per aerospace standards.
  • Conduct inventory transactions in an ERP system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and performance of the workspace.
  • Release Work Orders as per Production Plans.
  • Fulfill material requests during assigned shifts.
  • Participate in performance reviews and KPI discussions.
  • Solve problems effectively to provide swift resolutions.
  • Support Leadership in process improvement initiatives.
  • Meet personal goals relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
