Overview

3-month placement inside IR35. Hybrid - 4 days on site.

We are looking for an experienced electro mechanical engineer as a 3 month contractor placement inside IR35. You will be used to assembly and test of intricate hardware. You will work closely with all members of the flight team. Ensuring that systems are designed and built in such a way that they can be successfully and accurately tested. A background in aerospace or space engineering is a requirement for this job.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble aerospace hardware according to procedures and provide input to ensure assemblies are produced accurately.
  • Select and provide input to the selection of integration materials such as adhesives.
  • Develop operational procedures for assembly activities.
  • Mechanical assembly and integration, ensuring relevant standards are met and operational procedures are completed.
  • Work with electrical engineers to assemble flight electronics (training provided).
  • Testing procedures and testing space hardware: work with systems engineers to produce test and qualification plans and procedures.
  • Run in-vacuum performance tests on propulsion systems.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks on flight parts and components.
  • Conduct environmental testing campaigns on flight hardware.
  • Conduct acceptance tests on newly built products.
