Stockport Families First (Edge of Care) is an innovative, dynamic and creative service that aims to safely prevent and reduce the number of children and young people from entering the care system in Stockport. The service keeps children and young people at the heart of all work and is committed to keeping families together as a unit by strengthening, improving and re‑building family relationships.
As an Advanced Practitioner you will be part of a wider resourceful team, sharing a passion for providing young people with the best possible outcomes in life. You will hold, direct and support a team of Intensive Support workers and specialist workers, leading the development of their practice. Within the role you will have oversight of delivering effective, coordinated, evidence‑based support and interventions to young people and their families/carers.

We are looking for an experienced Social worker to rise to the challenge of keeping children at home with their families. With a reassuring presence, calm in a crisis and able to work with families in their homes, you will help them make changes and stay together.
You will need to be passionate about working with children, young people and their families to keep them together and be a good role model for others working with children, young people and their families.
