Qualifications

  • 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5pm and Friday 8:30-4.30pm.
  • Office-based for duty; hybrid working negotiable depending on team needs.

Overview

Advanced Practitioner

Team: Child Protection

Location: Leeds

Rate: £37

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload comprising Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Child Care Proceedings until permanence.
  • Operate as lead worker alongside other social workers without supervisory/line management responsibilities.
  • Practice restoratively with children and families and promote family-led decisions to manage risk and meet support needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent relational work with children and families; engage children through direct work and child-centred practice.
  • Apply strong organisational skills to meet competing demands and maintain practice standards, quality, and performance.
  • Utilise good analytical assessment skills and produce high-quality written work.
  • Collaborate in a busy but supportive team environment and share knowledge to promote a learning culture.
Requirements
  • Must be able to drive and have use of a car.
  • 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5pm and Friday 8:30-4.30pm.
  • Office-based for duty; hybrid working negotiable depending on team needs (office-based on duty weeks with one WFH day/compressed hours on non-duty).
  • Office location: Deacon House, LS14.
