Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Prescribing

Bridgeside Surgery is seeking an experienced, motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner ANP with independent prescribing rights to join our expanding multidisciplinary team.

Working autonomously while fully supported by the GP team you will provide high-quality clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management for patients with acute and long-term conditions. The role includes telephone triage, face-to-face appointments, and occasional home visits.

This is a key post within a practice that is strengthening its clinical model and investing in advanced practice roles to improve access, quality, and continuity of care.

Main duties of the job

Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments across a broad range of conditions.

Diagnose, treat, prescribe, refer, and advise within professional scope and competence.

Deliver urgent, same-day, and routine appointments for patients of all ages.

Provide safe and effective telephone triage and clinical decision-making.

Support chronic disease management and personalised care plans.

Work collaboratively with GPs, paramedics, nurses, pharmacists and the wider MDT.

Promote health education, disease prevention and self-management.

Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation.

Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality-improvement activity.

Support shared learning, teaching, and team development across the practice.
