Overview
A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Do you hold current registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC? If so, further opportunities have become available to join our growing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) working across University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB).
Practitioners registered with any of the regulatory bodies stated above, who hold the relevant qualifications, meet the application criteria and are motivated, flexible and experienced with a demonstrable passion for clinical practice are invited to apply.
Responsibilities
- We are looking for a Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with experience of managing acute presentation in Oncology and Haematology.
- The practitioner must be flexible as the role will require cross site working and working in our assessment unit, chemotherapy units, radiotherapy, inpatient areas and outpatient areas.
- Advanced Clinical Practice is well established at UHDB and is seen as integral to the delivery of high quality and safe patient care across the Trust. You could be joining an extremely progressive team which continues to develop to meet the needs of our patients.
- Training will involve supporting you to become an advanced, skilled, generic practitioner with transferable skills and as such you will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of service. Trained ACPs will also have the opportunity to discuss rotations within role.
- As the Trust strives to provide standardised care to all patients admitted across a seven-day period, you will be required to be available to work a full pattern of shifts including weekends and nights. Cross site working is established within our ACP team and therefore you should be willing to work across both the RDH and QHB sites.
- Shift patterns will vary dependent upon area of practice at any given time as care is centred on the service requirements.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Hold current registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC and have the relevant qualifications as required for the role.
Enjoyable Aspects and Support
- Advanced Clinical Practice is well established at UHDB and is integral to high quality, safe patient care.
