A leading children's hospital in the UK is seeking a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expert knowledge in neonatal care and surgery, and possess strong leadership and mentoring abilities. The hospital values diversity and seeks to create an inclusive environment, inviting applications from underrepresented groups. This role offers opportunities for personal and professional development within a supportive team.
Are you a passionate qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner or an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with expert knowledge of neonatal surgery/care? We are looking for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner/Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our established team on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Trust. Dolphin Ward, the 10‑beded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at GOSH isn’t your traditional NICU. We have around 500 admissions per year, caring for babies of all gestations from 22 weeks and upwards. Whilst primarily a surgical referral centre offering advanced areas of intensive care treatment, we also support complex patients requiring specialist input, investigations and treatment including oncology, neurology, metabolic medicine, renal medicine, ENT, endocrinology, ophthalmology and respiratory medicine. Our patient cohort comprises a case‑mix of infants under a variety of specialities, which reflects the multispeciality complex nature of the services provided by GOSH. This provides endless learning opportunities and insight into a side of neonatal care that often is not seen elsewhere.
We are keen to make our workforce as diverse as the communities we serve, and we hope to attract applications from under‑represented groups, including people with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage, people with a disability, and people from LGBTQ+ communities. By growing an ever‑more diverse workforce, we’ll have a greater range of perspectives and knowledge, meaning that we can provide the children and young people at our hospital with even better care.
Our hospital is committed to creating an environment that is open and inclusive. Our staff are encouraged to engage with colleagues through the following networks: REACH (Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage), ENABLED (Enhancing Abilities & Leveraging Disabilities Network), PRIDE and Women’s networks; all of which are sponsored by a member of our Executive Management Team.
We want to ensure that all of our people, regardless of their background, are seen and heard. We want to attract applicants that share our commitment to inclusion and that understand diversity is a strength that is embraced and valued.
Only those candidates who clearly demonstrate how they meet the person specification criteria for this post will be shortlisted. Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. We are an accredited Living Wage Employer.
