Minehead Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.

Main duties of the job

We are now looking for a dedicated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to help ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of services to our patients. The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients registered with our practices. You will have experience within primary care settings and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in attitude and behaviour. They will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to undertaking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances.

Job responsibilities

Minehead Medical Centre has recently rated Good in all areas by the CQC in its first inspection under OneMedicares leadership. After taking over the service in early 2024 following an Inadequate rating of the previous provider, the new team has made rapid and significant improvements, transforming patient care, access, and leadership. We are a passionate, close-knit team committed to providing the highest standards of care in a way that truly meets the needs of our patients. The Medical Centre is a central hub in the town, and we are proud to reflect the welcoming and collaborative spirit of the wider Minehead community.

In addition to standard nursing duties, the advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) role is accountable in conjunction with the lead nurse for the clinical governance of the practice and is designed to provide clinical leadership in the practice, in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients. Youll be working with a great local team and will have the support of the wider NHS services leadership team and our support centre teams as well. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team including: GPs, practices nurses, wellbeing advisors, health coaches, physician associate, and more.
