Occupational Therapist | Haringey Council | £39 per hour

Rate : £39 per hour (umbrella) | Full-Time (36 hours per week) | Initial 3 months contract

Caritas Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join Haringey Council for an initial 3-month contract. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with a range of individuals, conducting assessments and delivering tailored interventions to promote independence and improve quality of life. The role includes visits, assessments, and the delivery of essential small equipment to service users.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for collecting small equipment (e.g. bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from a Haringey P store, delivering and installing these items, and demonstrating their safe use to service users.

While a car driver is preferable for this role, it is not essential, as practitioners can submit taxi expense claims for deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users' needs and develop person-centred intervention plans to support independence.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, including mobility, self-care, and domestic tasks.
  • Collect and deliver small equipment (e.g., bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from a Haringey P store and demonstrate how to use it safely.
  • Work with families and carers, providing advice, training, and guidance on support.
