Job Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity to become an Administrative Assistant in the Business Support Unit based at Eccles Police Station - Specialist Operations Branch.

You will be required to provide an efficient and effective general administrative support, undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks. Working as part of a group of Administrative Assistants you will provide maximum flexibility of staffing resources between the various task areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • To maintain various records/information systems (either manual or computerised) relating to e.g. cash purchases, general procurement of goods and services correspondence, performance indicator data etc, seized cash, imprest account, input information into Force databases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To deal with cash including the handling of seized cash, banking of moneys, maintenance of cash floats for specified locations.
  • To liaise with internal sections and external organisations e.g. to arrange general purchases and repairs.
  • To receive, store and distribute various supplies e.g. stationery, clothing, equipment, pocket books.

  • Formal translation from a reputable source for any foreign language or symbol tattoos
  • Any paperwork relating to discharged debts, CCJ, bankruptcy etc
  • Deed poll certificate for any name changes
