Brook Street is seeking an Admin Officer in Chelmsford to support the smooth running of Chelmsford County Court. You will process papers, update records, and manage inquiries to ensure a right first time experience for court users.

The role requires precise data handling, discretion with sensitive information, and strong teamwork within a flexible, office-based environment. The position offers standard Monday-Friday hours, with a pay rate of £12.86 per hour.

Responsabilités

• Prepare papers, files and court/tribunal documentation for hearings and requests.
• Create and update records on an in-house system with accurate data input.
• Support post opening and dispatch, including arranging meetings and agendas.
• Clerking civil and family courts/tribunals and ensuring materials are up to date.
• Assist court users via face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries with prompt, polite support.
• Contact relevant parties, schedule activity and carry out document serving tasks.
• Process casework with standard documentation including court orders, claims and fines.
• Check and verify documents, records and accounts against criteria and procedures.
• Contribute to Team Information Board (TIB) meetings with data interpretation.
• Produce basic statistical reports and handle straightforward financial processing.

Admin Officer Location: Chelmsford, CM2-0PP Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Pay rate:£12.86ph

Our Client is hiring for an Admin Officer, where your work helps cases move forward, documents are accurate, and customers receive a "right first time" experience.

What you'll be doing:

• Prepare papers, files and court/tribunal documentation for hearings, meetings and requests


• Create and update records on an in-house computer system, ensuring data input is accurate


• Support post opening and dispatch, including organising meetings and preparing agendas and joining instructions


• Clerking civil and family courts/tribunals: checking papers and materials are up to date and ready


• Assist court users through face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries-delivering prompt, polite support


• Contact relevant parties, schedule activity, and carry out document serving and administrative enforcement tasks


• Process casework with standard documentation, including court orders, claims, fines and fees


• Check and verify documents, records, accounts and returns against criteria and procedures


• Collect, assemble and interpret information to support daily Team Information Board (TIB) meetings


• Produce basic statistical analysis reports and complete straightforward financial processing where required


• Work as part of a team to contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving within set processes

Additional information:

• You'll work in a flexible way across the office and may occasionally be required to work at other local offices in the Chelmsford area on an ad hoc basis


• You may have regular contact with court/tribunal users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession

If you're successful in your application a Basic DBS will be required as part of the on-boarding checks with Brook Street.
