Brook Street is recruiting an Admin Officer to support the day-to-day running of a busy court environment in Surrey. You will handle papers, data entry and counter service with accuracy and professionalism.

The role offers 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with DBS checks as part of onboarding. You will work closely with the team to ensure paperwork is current and processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare papers and files for hearings, meetings and tribunals.
  • Produce and update court documents and data entries on in-house systems.
  • Handle post opening, dispatch, photocopying and filing.
  • Book meeting rooms and assist with training/course logistics.
  • Draft letters, minutes and reports per guidelines.
  • Support court processes and listing coordination.
  • Provide courteous counter, phone and written enquiry support.
  • Assist with rota management and schedule coordination.
  • Prepare standard documents and verify information.
  • Contribute to team meetings and small improvement projects.

Admin Officer
Location: Surrey, GU1 4ST
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour

Our Client is hiring an Admin Officer to support the day-to-day running of a busy court environment-where accuracy, professionalism and excellent customer care matter every day.

What you'll be doing:
  • Prepare papers and files for hearings, meetings and tribunals
  • Produce and update court/tribunal documents, records and data entries on in-house systems
  • Handle post opening and dispatch, plus general photocopying and filing
  • Book and prepare meeting rooms and support training/course activity logistics
  • Draft standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes and reports in line with guidelines
  • Support court processes such as clerking civil and family matters, ensuring paperwork is current
  • Provide helpful, prompt, polite "right first time" service via counter service, written and telephone enquiries
  • Assist with listing and rota management, checking files and coordinating schedules
  • Support case processing by preparing and handling standard documentation, orders and related information
  • Undertake checks and verification for accuracy against procedures and quality standards
  • Contribute to teamwork activities, including TIB (Team Information Board) meetings and small improvement projects
What you'll bring:
  • A confident, approachable manner with strong face-to-face communication skills
  • A customer-first attitude and the ability to respond professionally to a variety of enquiries
  • Solid general IT skills and comfort working with computer systems for records and data input
  • A careful, accurate approach to administration and document handling
  • Willingness to work flexibly as needed within the role and team
Additional information:

If you're successful in your application a BASIC DBS will be required as part of the on-boarding checks with Brook Street.
