At QBE we get to the heart of what matters for our work. We do it all with a human touch. We are an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries which gives us the scale of ambition while remaining small enough for you to make a real impact. Are you ready to take the next step in your actuarial career? We’re looking for a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our Capital Modelling team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background to contribute to key actuarial processes and support the delivery of robust capital modelling solutions.
Our Capital Modelling team operates as a split location team across London and Leeds and we welcome applicants based in either location.
Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. The company may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
In this role you’ll report directly to an Actuarial Manager and work closely with colleagues across the actuarial function. You’ll play a key part in supporting the development and maintenance of capital models, helping to ensure the business has a clear understanding of its capital needs and regulatory requirements.
You’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to develop your actuarial expertise within a specialist team. Given the fast pace and cyclical demand, it’s important that you already have an in‑depth understanding of the workings of an Actuarial department and are driven to benefit from professional development opportunities, exam support and access to various actuarial tools and technologies.
We offer a range of benefits to support your work life whatever your circumstances. As a QBE employee you’ll have access to and benefit from:
30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
Flexible working – balancing work and life is important, so our flexible working opportunities are open to all. These can include part‑time, job share and compressed hours.
Pension – you are automatically enrolled in the QBE pension plan, which entitles you to receive employer contributions of 10 % of your basic salary.
Private medical insurance – we fund fully comprehensive private medical cover for you and your family.
Family‑friendly policies – we offer 26 weeks leave at full pay regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation or how you become a parent.
Short‑term remote work abroad – you can request up to 20 days per year to work remotely from certain locations abroad.
Sustainable investing – we believe sustainable integration is important for long‑term financial, environmental and social outcomes. Our pension strategy supports our net‑zero goal to achieve year‑on‑year reductions in carbon footprint by investing more in green businesses than the broader market so your savings look after the planet’s future as well as your own.
Cycle‑to‑Work – benefit from regular exercise whilst making your commute greener and cheaper. Select bike and/or accessories up to the value of 5000.
