The Opportunity

Are you ready to take the next step in your actuarial career? We’re looking for a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst to join our Capital Modelling team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background to contribute to key actuarial processes and support the delivery of robust capital modelling solutions.

Your New Role

In this role you’ll report directly to an Actuarial Manager and work closely with colleagues across the actuarial function. You’ll play a key part in supporting the development and maintenance of capital models, helping to ensure the business has a clear understanding of its capital needs and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis and development of capital models to determine the company’s capital requirements and support QBE’s strategic priorities.
  • Assist in producing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulators.

Skills You’ll Need
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a numerical field.
  • Experience within insurance, ideally general insurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; experience with Igloo or other capital modelling software is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret numerical data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Organised and able to manage your own workload to meet deadlines.
  • A keen interest in capital modelling and progressing towards actuarial qualifications.
