Accounts Payable Senior Manager (UK & Ire)

This is a high-impact leadership role managing the centralised AP function across a group and is ideal for any AP Manager looking to make an impact through people, change, and process improvement.

Driving and supporting standardisation, best practice, system improvement, and change across the UK & Ireland, this role will involve owning and supervising the Accounts Payable function, partnering key stakeholders across the group with a real focus on effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus and develop robust processes to ensure accurate and timely processing of high-volume invoices, credit notes, and effective resolutions, providing an end-to-end process.
  • Lead and motivate a large AP team, promoting service excellence and a high-performance culture based on accountability, collaboration, and upskilling the development.
  • Build and develop relationships with stakeholders across the group and within the AP function, with service-excellence and collaboration a key goal.
  • Manage change, identifying and supporting opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Leadership with a focus on people and their retention and development, ensuring the continuous improvement focus extends to team capabilities through KPI, performance metrics, and ongoing colleague development.
  • Ensure high-level financial controls are in place and maintained in line with reporting as well as operational and business goals.
Background and Experience
  • Proven and demonstrable experience of leading an Accounts Payable Function.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing change with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills with the ability to both build a team and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience across systems would be ideal, with any experience of automation software a strong advantage.
