Location: Milton Keynes - requests for occasional hybrid working will be considered

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Hours: 24-40 hours per week - Flexibility available subject to business needs

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Milton Keynes team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of our accounts and supporting the overall reporting.

Duties
  • Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions and maintain organised records.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to reconcile variances in the draft monthly accounts.
  • Maintain and improve digital filing systems for financial documents, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts as required by the team.
  • Provide support for audits by gathering necessary documentation and responding to queries.
  • Support the Operational management team with internal financial processes
  • Reconciliation of month end income data, raise accurate invoices, liaise with client and finance.
  • Any other business requirements, e.g. deputising/supporting colleagues when on leave.
Skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel or Google sheets
  • Numerate and ability to reconcile large data sets.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
