Job description

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, people-focused accountancy firm that genuinely values its team.

You’ll be stepping into a varied and hands‑on role that offers exposure to accounts, tax, VAT and client advisory, with support to continue developing your skills and career.

The client portfolio is broad and interesting, covering limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and some not‑for‑profits and charities.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys the technical side of accounting but also values building good client relationships and delivering a quality service.

What the role looks like:
  • Preparing year‑end financial statements for a wide range of clients
  • Completing corporation tax, personal tax, partnership tax and VAT returns
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and supporting clients with day‑to‑day queries
  • Advising clients on accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
  • Liaising with HMRC and helping ensure clients stay compliant
  • Getting involved in ad hoc projects and assisting on more complex work
  • Helping manage workflow and keeping filing deadlines on track
What we’re looking for:
  • AAT qualified or ACA or ACCA part‑qualified
  • At least two years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment
  • A solid understanding of financial reporting standards and tax
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Comfortable with cloud-based bookkeeping software
  • Someone proactive, detail‑focused and happy working in a team
What’s in it for you:
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
  • Access to a flexible benefits scheme
  • Hybrid working with Wednesdays from home
  • Supportive and down‑to‑earth working culture
  • Training, CPD and development opportunities
  • Exposure to a varied client base and clear room to progress

This would suit someone who’s looking for that next step in a firm that does things the right way and values its people.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
