Job description

KCR Solutions are working with an established firm on Accountants based in North Shields who are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to handle a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and record day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions with general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed.
  • Preparing VAT returns from information supplied
  • Assist with other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant within a practice environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
