A leading insurance firm in Southend-on-Sea is looking for an experienced Account Handler to manage commercial insurance accounts with a focus on providing excellent client service. This role offers hybrid working flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with a supportive team. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in account handling and strong organisational skills to manage projects from new business to renewals.
We’re looking for an experienced Account Handler to join a small, friendly team in Southend, with the flexibility of hybrid working. This role involves managing a range of commercial insurance accounts, making sure policies are accurate and up to date, and providing a high level of service to clients. You’ll handle everything from new business and renewals to changes and cancellations, and you’ll work closely with insurers to negotiate competitive terms while keeping everything compliant.
To be considered, you’ll need experience in a similar account handling role within insurance. This could be across personal lines, SME, property owners, professional indemnity, directors and officers, or cyber. You should be confident managing premiums typically between £250 and £3,000, and occasionally supporting on larger clients. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. If you’ve used Acturis or have (or want to work towards) CII qualifications, that’s a plus.
