An educational institution is looking for an enthusiastic Accommodation Support Officer to provide welfare and safety support to students aged 16 to 18 in residence halls. The role involves liaising with student residents, maintaining security, and organizing events. This position requires flexible hours, including weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English. Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
We are recruiting an enthusiastic team of Accommodation Support Officers to provide welfare, safety and practical support to students aged 16 to 18 in our 104 bed halls of residence. The role will involve liaison with student residents, responsibility for security, safety, wellbeing and organisation of events.
This casual vacancy requires out of office hours working including weekends and bank holidays on a flexible rota basis as we are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Working patterns available are:
• Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday: 07:30 – 23:00 – various shifts
• Monday to Friday evenings: 17:00 – 23:00
Must be routinely available to work times listed above as well as flexibility to cover other shifts.
• Liaise with student residents and provide welfare and safety support.
• Maintain security and safety of the halls of residence.
• Organise student events and activities.
• Participate in induction training prior to shift allocation.
• Experience working with young people and knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English (e.g. GCSE grades A‑C).
• Must apply for an enhanced DBS check.
